Our core approach is to assist Patients in losing weight by forming helpful habits, eating smarter, getting more exercise and providing support. No food is off limits; our goal is eat less and exercise less. The only exercise we recommend is walking about 3-5 miles per day after work hours. Thus in contrast to other diets that might provide a list of foods that must be, or should never be, eaten, we ask our patients to avoid any sugary or salty foods and all processed foods, e.g. No sodas or juices or frozen foods EVEN if its zero calorie. Patients lose weight by creating a calorie deficit through walking and less calorie intake which is sustainable throughout life. For some patients, we do provide b-12 injections, Phentermines and in some cases will assist by doing surgical procedures like liposuctions, tummy-tucks or even a bypass surgery.
